Whilst the Armed Forces Network didn’t win on Wednesday 6 November 2019 at the HSJ Awards it was inspiring to see the amount of work being done across England to better services.
Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group won the Military and Civilian Health Partnership Award with their project on Reaching out to their military veterans and their families, reservists and adult volunteer cadets. Another example of the amazing work Armed Forces Champions can do and what working in collaboration can achieve.
Highly commended for their work was Getting it Right First Time – The Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance. Part of this work is the accreditation for hospitals to become Veterans Aware and within Sussex the following Trusts have already received this kite mark:
We would like to congratulate all the winners from the Awards on Wednesday night and more information about them can be viewed on the HSJ website.
