We are mindful that not all members of our community have access to online support/resources and we have therefore produced a Helpline Document that highlights organisations providing telephone support.
Combat Stress are still operating their telephone lines and their contact number for veterans and their immediate families is 0800 138 1619 and for serving personnel and their immediate families the contact number is 0800 323 4444. The Samaritans are also available by calling 116 123 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are in need of support but don’t want to speak to anyone, you can always use the Big White Wall which is an online mental health and wellbeing resource. In addition, there is Shout, the crisis support texting service, where if you text CONTACT to 85258 a trained Crisis Volunteer will contact you back via text. All Call Signs is a peer to peer communication app which is available for those who are struggling with daily life both in and out of uniform. Visit their website and enable the chat facility.
A number of the local Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Clubs have ceased to meet in person but are operating a buddy buddy system in its place. Please contact your local Breakfast Club for more information, you can get their details via either www.afvbc.net or www.afvbc.com. Please check our twitter feed on the home page as well for updates.

We have also summarised some of our Suicide Prevention material from our SAFE card and Action Plan into a document which can be read on screen or downloaded for printing. We also have a “Read this First” booklet which can be shared with you electronically if you send us your email address.
