Community Covenant

The Armed Forces Network was successful in its bid the Armed Forces Covenant Fund to secure funding to develop a specific course for Veterans', Families and Carers building on the successful Service Champions Training.

This new course will cover a number of topics including:

  • mental health awareness
  • suicide prevention
  • financial management
  • addictions
  • looking after yourself and others
  • the Armed Forces Covenant in action
  • how to access support and services

The training will provide delegates with:

  • improved self-management skills
  • an understanding of the Armed Forces Covenant
  • a better understanding of the support available for them and others and how to sign post to it
  • a raised awareness of the health and wellbeing options available
  • a resource pack to take away for future reference

The training is provided free of charge and is aimed at those who have served or are serving in the British Armed Forces, their families (aged 16 and over) and carers.
